KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, June 26th, 2019 – Weathering a harsh and competitive Malaysian solar market with its innovative solar business model, disciplined cost management and best practices has won Ditrolic Solar the Malaysian Solar Power Company of the Year 2019.

Beating multiple local solar companies with its robust growth and overseas expansion, Frost and Sullivan had recognised Ditrolic Sdn. Bhd. as the winner of this year’s award for the second consecutive year.

Solar market in Malaysia has been heating up for the past year since the introduction of new solar policies under the new Minister of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change (MESTECC), Yeo Bee Yin. These new policies include Net Energy Metering (NEM), Supply Agreement for Renewable Energy (SARE) and Large-Scale Solar (LSS) Round 3. In response to these new business opportunities, large corporations such as Petronas, Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Malakoff, Sunway have announced their industry participation.

With 97MW capacity from 30 projects developed and owned to date, Ditrolic Solar is the largest solar developer company in Malaysia by numbers of project as well the largest commercial rooftop solar company locally, serving more than 100 companies. The company’s projects include supplying solar electricity for shopping malls in Philippines, industrial factories in Malaysia as well providing clean energy for 7 airports in Southeast Asia.
